Meet the Team Behind HPC

HPC has been a highly successful company for the last 12 years with a proud and unsurpassed reputation of certifying Personal Trainers to the highest standard. What makes any business successful is the team which holds the structure together.

We are honoured to have such an outstanding group of people that are not only passionate about fitness, but who are also incredibly passionate about seeing you achieve your goals and ultimate success. Please meet the HPC family.

Edward Hayward

Head HPC Lecturer

Edward has been the Head Trainer / Assessor at HPC since 2010. His broad knowledge has led him to take on many different roles at the RTO. After realising he felt a great sense of accomplishment educating clients as a Personal Trainer; he made the shift to Trainer / Assessor and has been blessed to work in such a positive industry.

Damien Nelson

HPC Lecturer

Prior to joining HPC as a trainer and assessor, Damien’s office was high in the sky. As a senior commercial Helicopter pilot and a Grade 1 flying instructor, Damien re-focused his desire to teach enthusiastic pilots into the health and fitness world of the HPC environment, and now thrives on the ability to motivate those who walk through HPC’s doors. Damien has always lived a healthy lifestyle, merging his love of flying with a strong interest in natural medicine and body composition changes.
With an innate ability to perform the odd trick or two with a set of kettlebells, and a keen interest in stand-up paddling; Damien’s passion for living a healthy life is clear. His desire to motivate others to achieve high standards of performance is undeniable.

Katie Kugis

Administration Manager

Katie started her journey here like many others following her passion for health and fitness undertaking the Certificate III & IV, & Diploma of Fitness with HPC. That was back in 2013 & she hasn’t left since.. except for a brief period of time in 2016 to welcome her mini addition to the team (but that doesn’t count as leaving, right?) Every day she loves coming to work and enjoys nothing more than being a part of our student’s journey, chasing their dreams to change their life’s & others around them. You’ll usually find her chit chatting at reception & if she isn’t there just listen closely, you’ll be able to find her.

Bex Colley

Design & Marketing

Bex is the design and marketing girl for HPC. Generally, she will be found glued to her computer, keeping the websites up to date, or designing a new marketing campaign. She is a huge design and typography enthusiast, and Apple product lover. When she isn’t at the HPC HQ you may find her at the beach with her fur child Archie the Frenchie.

Jaz Greer

When Jaz was on maternity leave, she took a leap and decided to do our evening course and complete her Cert III & IV in Fitness. Like many of our staff, she loved it so much she didn’t want to leave and in turn became a part of our admin team!

Most of the time, you will find her at reception, or running someone through an InBody scan. If you’re lucky, you might get to listen to her singing (or screeching) along to her favourite songs on R&B Fridays. She loves getting to know all of the students, watching them grow in confidence throughout the duration of their course, so that when they leave they can spread their knowledge and passion for health and fitness with those around them.

Todd Murray

PT Manager / Personal Trainer

As HPC’s Personal Training Manager, Todd ensures that elite standards are met among the personal trainers operating from within the Yellow Gym of the centre. Closely liaising with the Director and admin staff, he ensures that things are operating smoothly and to the highest standard. After training himself for the past 12 years, Todd completed his studies at HPC 6 years ago and has since been a full time personal trainer. This enables Todd to be a valuable part of HPC’s Personal Trainer Mentoring Program, offering existing and new personal trainers his knowledge and expertise to maximise the success of their business

Kate Richmond

Course Co-Ordinator

Prior to joining the HPC family as their new Course Coordinator, Kate began her career in Health & Fitness like so many, as a Personal Trainer. However before then, believe it or not, Kate’s passion for Health and Fitness began during her time spent working for a German Olympic Dressage rider. She spent 6 years as their Property Manager and Head Rider for Elite Imported warmblood horses that would hopefully one day, end up at a World Equestrian Game or the Olympics.

Through this, she learnt how her own health and fitness affected her performance as a rider and she began to investigate various training techniques to aid in her performance.

From here, she continued her work in management through various Sporting Complex’s and Health and Lifestyle Centres and soon found herself moving to QLD and working at InBody Australia as an InBody Operator.

During her days off, Kate takes any chance to jump below sea level and spend some time diving with sharks and whales and is always up for a weekend workout!

Donna Reid

Administration / Personal Trainer

When Donna began her journey as a student here at HPC we bet she didn’t realise that she wouldn’t ever look back. Deciding to join our team in Administration and Personal Trainer out of our yellow gym.

You will find her smiling face behind reception, running someone through an InBody scan or next door ensuring her clients are working up a sweat!

She loves getting to know all of the students and supporting them through their time here at HPC so they can feel just as much as the HPC family as she did when she was a student here! When she’s not here living and breathing fitness, you will find her watching anime, reading comic books and getting here geek on!

Kelsey Curtis

Prior to joining HPC as one of our amazing Administration Guru’s, Kelsey commenced her studies in Health and Fitness by completing a Certificate III & IV in Fitness with us.  During her course, she made some lifelong friends and through them she found her niche within the industry and commenced her training within Muay Thai. The lifelong friends that Kelsey made during her course have played an integral role in guiding her to finding her passion. Fast forward 1 year, Kelsey is now regularly participating in amateur fights and absolutely killing it.

Kelsey is now an important member of our Administration team. She is our go-to girl for any student queries, assisting students with their first day of class and bringing a little bit of fun and frivolity to our centre.

When Kelsey isn’t at HPC, she’s either hangin’ with her 2 cats Iggy & Daphne, heading down Tally Creek or mixing up a fresh batch of Celery Juice (her favourite drink, just ask, she will tell you all about it).
